Forbes for Eucalyptus

Open source cloud provider Eucalyptus hasn’t had an easy time this past few years. Much of the attention when it comes to private cloud has been given to OpenStack, the open source initiative that, for better or worse, has taken on a life of its own. Arguably it didn’t help that Euclyptus’ main differentiation from all the OpenStack private cloud vendors is that it delivers a completely AWS-compatible private cloud – considering that AWS’ position has always been that private clouds make no sense, Eucalyptus had something of a hard job at its hands.
