Breaking news doesn’t sound like a great opportunity for business-oriented marketers to get traffic to their Web sites. After all, it’s tough to plan for news you don’t control, right? But a new study by the search and social media marketing software firm Optify indicates they can do plenty to up their visibility during these events, sometimes even more than they can with conventional search queries whose results are more static over time, CEOBrian Goffman says.
