San Francisco Business Times for Bridge Bank

May 25, 2016

Bridge Bank this week opened a commercial bank branch in the historic Russ Building at 201 Montgomery St. in San Francisco’s Financial District. The ground-floor branch is part of the bank’s efforts to reach more small- and middle-market companies, especially in the fast-growing tech sector. It’s Bridge Bank’s second branch in California and eighth location nationally. The bank also has offices throughout the Bay Area. “Our goal is to make Bridge Bank’s banking services more accessible, particularly to the members of the vibrant business community in San Francisco, so we picked a prime location,” said Margaret Stelma, senior vice president of branch operations at Bridge Bank, which is part of Western Alliance Bancorporation’s(NYSE: WAL) Western Alliance Bank. (Western Alliance purchased Bridge Bank last year.) Bridge Bank opens the doors to its newest branch even as the banking industry debates the merits of brick-and-mortar amid the phenomenal growth of mobile banking.
